How plan generation works
Understand existing plans, new one-day previews and how to give the planner useful context.
An existing plan or a new plan?
The website’s “Make your next plan” flow starts by looking for a plan already available for your chosen destination. When it finds one, it shows a first-day preview with its available places, images and map details. This is an existing route, not a new itinerary personalised to every answer in the form.
If no suitable plan is found, the service can generate a new one-day preview. This differs from submitting a plan request in the app, which follows its own fulfilment workflow.
What to tell the planner
| Input | Why it matters | A useful answer |
|---|---|---|
| Destination | Keeps the route in the intended city. | A specific city, rather than a whole country |
| Companions and group size | Gives context about who is travelling. | Two friends travelling together |
| Budget and currency | Provides a spending constraint for a new plan. | State the amount and correct currency |
| Interests and pace | Helps focus the suggested activities. | Local food, architecture, a relaxed pace; no nightlife |
For generated plans, the reviewed prompt treats the budget as per person for the whole requested trip. For a one-day preview, that is one person’s budget for that day. It primarily covers food, activities and local transport; do not assume flights and accommodation are included.
Review the result before using it
- Check the actual location
Review the place name, address and map point, especially when multiple branches share a name.
- Check the day’s feasibility
Confirm opening hours and allow time for transport, meals and queues.
- Check prices separately
Treat costs in the plan as estimates. Verify current fees and reservation requirements with the venue.
- Adjust it to your group
Review pace, accessibility, dietary needs and any preferences that were not fully reflected.
What the website preview includes
The website is a one-day introduction. It is not a booking tool, a full multi-day editor or proof that a plan has been saved to your OnePlan account. Use the app to continue planning and explore the available full-trip features.
Downloading the app does not automatically transfer the website preview into your account. If a result fails to load, try again later or continue exploring plans in the app.
