Plan the trip
Arrange places into an itinerary
Give each day a useful shape, while leaving room for real travel time and changes of plan.
Start with a shortlist
Choose the places that matter most before arranging the day. A long list of saved places is useful for discovery, but it can produce an unrealistic itinerary. Keep must-see stops separate from optional ideas.
- Group nearby places so you spend less time crossing the city.
- Check opening days, booking requirements and the last entry time.
- Allow time for transport, meals, queues and breaks.
Arrange and review
- Choose the day
Use the trip itinerary to decide when you want to visit each place.
- Put stops in a practical order
Start near your accommodation or arrival point. Treat automated suggestions as a draft that still needs your judgement.
- Check the map
Two places can be close on a map but separated by a river, restricted access or a long route.
- Review with your group
Check pace, accessibility and everyone’s priorities before finalising the day.
Example: fewer moves, more time there
| Part of the day | A practical plan | Check before going |
|---|---|---|
| Morning | One neighbourhood and a café nearby | Opening hours and transport from your starting point |
| Afternoon | A main attraction, with lunch nearby | Tickets, last entry and enough time inside |
| Evening | Dinner and one optional stop | Reservations and your route back |
This is a planning pattern, not a recommended route. Actual travel times and venue availability depend on your destination and date.
When the plan changes
If a venue closes or the group changes direction, update the itinerary rather than treating the generated order as fixed. Recheck affected bookings separately; moving a stop in OnePlan does not change a reservation with the venue.
