Get going

Create your first trip

Go from a destination in mind to a shared itinerary, without needing every detail worked out.

Before you start

Open OnePlan and sign in. Have a destination and approximate dates in mind. You can begin with a small set of places; a complete plan is not required.

Set up the trip

  1. Create a new trip

Use Create new trip from Home. Choose the destination and dates so your places have a shared context.

  2. Check the trip currency

Choose the currency you want to use when comparing group costs. You can still record a receipt in its original currency.

  3. Add the first few places

Use places saved on a board, or add locations you already know. Check each map pin before arranging the day.

  4. Invite your companions

Share the trip invitation. Confirm people have joined before assigning costs to them.

Build a realistic first day

Start with one area, one main activity and time to eat. Put nearby places together, then check travel time and opening hours outside OnePlan before making reservations. An itinerary is a plan, not a booking confirmation.

Record your first shared cost

After someone pays for the group, add an expense with the total, the person who paid and the people who should share it. Selecting the right participants matters more than having every receipt detail ready.

If you collect a group fund in advance, record contributions separately. Do not also count the same contribution as an expense: the expense is the later purchase, not the money collected.
