Interview
"My first trip abroad alone. The map made me brave."
Khoa had wanted to see Seoul for years. What stopped him wasn't money or time, it was the quiet fear of landing somewhere alone, not speaking the language, and getting lost.
The fear was the itinerary
"I'm fine debugging at 2 a.m., but the idea of standing in a foreign subway with no plan? That scared me," he says. So the trip stayed a someday, years of someday.
"I didn't need a tour. I just needed to feel like I knew where I was going."
A plan that knew where I was
Khoa started from a ready-made Seoul itinerary in OnePlan and made it his own, cutting a stop here, adding a café there. On the ground, the map tracked where he was in the plan, the next stop always one glance away. "It was like having a calm friend who'd been before."
Brave enough for the next one
He did the whole four days solo, the palaces, a night market, a quiet café he stumbled on himself. "Coming home, I wasn't anxious anymore. I was already planning the next one."
